JB-HiFi discount tips

From Humble Beginnings

When John Barbuto started JB Hi-Fi in 1974, his main objective was to make high-quality music instruments and recordings accessible to everyone at incredibly low prices. It's been over 40 years and the business has grown exponentially. The brand still sells high-fidelity (Hi-Fi) music equipment and a variety of other electronic products including laptops, smartphones, cameras, headphones, 4K TVs, and lots more. If it’s a tech gadget or item, rest assured you can find it at JB Hi-Fi.

A Smooth Catalogue for a Smooth Store

That sounds about right. High-fidelity refers to smooth high-quality sound with little distortion. While the store offers other electronic products different from music equipment, they maintain that quality of being “real smooth”. Doubt that? Well, check out the JB Hi-Fi catalogue! This catalogue is filled with great deals that you won't find anywhere else. In line with John Barbuto’s original objective for the store, they've maintained that quality and are not about to rip you off. Rather than make you pay outrageous prices at JB Hi-Fi, you’re likely to get the lowest prices on electronic products. The best part? The catalogue is frequently updated with the best deals.

About JB-HiFi

JB Hi-Fi Ltd. is an Australian retailer, and publicly-listed company, that markets and sells specialised Hi-Fi goods to consumers. JB Hi-Fi has stores located in both Australia and New Zealand, and the company is based in Melbourne, with head office situated in Southbank, which is just near the CBD.

JB Hi-Fi was founded in 1976 by John Barbuto (hence the brand name JB Hi-Fi), who was running his business from one store in the neighbourly area of East Keilor, in Victoria. John Barbuto had a sincere and simple business philosophy - and that was to provide a unique range of Hi-Fi equipment, and all associated recorded music, at the lowest prices possible for his customers. The business proved immensely successful, and a further ten stores were opened by 1999.

In 2000 JB Hi-Fi was purchased by a group of private equity bankers and with the key aim of growing the successful business model nationally. Further success ensued, and in 2003 JB Hi-Fi was initially floated on the Australian Stock Exchange. Maintaining John Barbuto's fundamental philosophy, JB is now considered one of the fastest-growing retailer of home entertainment in Australasia.

JB stores claim to offer all of the world's leading brands of computer devices such as tablets, computers, smart TVs, digital cameras, Hi-Fi, speakers, home theatre, and much more.

JB Hi-Fi also claims to provide the widest quality ranges, at the lowest prices - and importantly, they employ genuine Hi-Fi experts who provide excellent personal customer service.

JB Hi-Fi genuinely believe in helping charities, and in 2008 they formed the Helping Hands charity, which allows employees to donate to ten charity partners through any regular payroll deduction they desire. All employee donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by JB Hi-Fi.
